Reviews Of The Diet Solution Program
You will find many reviews of The Diet Solution weight loss program online, and the vast majority, if not every one of them, will present a positive review because they are trying to sell the product. I am offering the product on this page, not because I have used it and can therefore review it, but because it sells very well and many people get great benefit from it. That benefit is based upon sound nutrition science. I find it hard to believe that all the reviews of the Diet Solution you can find online are given by website owners that have actually used it. If not, then how can they give you a review? Many are likely just a regurgitation of the information on the Diet Solution program website. I am not so mercenary or dishonest, and will not review a product that I, or a close member of my family, have tested. To do otherwise would be misleading you. Elsewhere on this website I provide you with honest and genuine information on the chemistry and biology of many different ways of losing weight, burning fat or strengthening your muscles. These are biochemical facts, and as a fully qualified Honors (cum laude) graduate in Chemistry from Edinburgh University (BSC [Hons] Chemistry - Edinburgh), I am more qualified than most to discuss the biochemistry that is involved in your metabolism and the various biochemical processes involved. Healthy Weight Loss However, I cannot comment or offer honest reviews of
The Diet Solution
because I have not used it. Nevertheless, having watched the video, Isabel and Jeff appear to offer realistic fat loss: 10% of your body fat each month. When they say you lose 3- 10 pounds in the first week that depends on your initial weight, and most of that will loss of excess water. After that, they say, you settle down to a regular level of fat loss. That makes sense and conforms to the general theory of fat loss where 1-3 pounds weekly is healthy depending on your initial fat mass. As for their qualifications, Isabel is a qualified CHEK Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach with NCCA-CSCC accreditation, while Jeff is the marketing expert. So they know what they are talking about, and that they should be B.S.-ing you. All Sugar is Not Bad They claim that sugar is your enemy. Not just the sugar you actually eat, mainly sucrose, but also the sugars that are generated by the digestion of carbohydrates. Isabel makes the point that insulin not only helps glucose to pass through the cell membrane and reach the mitochondria where it is used to generate energy, but also prompts the excess glucose to be converted to fat, and enter your fat cells for use at a later date when food is scarce. Most reviews of The Diet Solution point this out, although what they might not tell you is that glucose itself is a sugar, and that without glucose you cannot survive. Glucose is biosynthesized from carbohydrates, and the sugar you eat is just other carbs that ends up as glucose. Glucose is the raw material, along with oxygen, for the generation of energy in your cellular mitochondria. However, back to the storage of fat:
This was all very well in the old days when crops were scarce in winter, and you would use your fat stores for energy just as hibernating animals use their fat to maintain their metabolic functions when sleeping. However, we no longer have food shortages in the developed world, and these fat stores remain unused. That's one reason why we get 'fat': because it is a natural process when we have plenty food to eat. You are not putting on weight because you want to, but because your body is storing fat for when you have very little, if anything, to eat. In those days there was no such word as 'diet' and certainly nobody was providing reviews of
The Diet Solution
or any other diet for that matter. In that respect it's not your fault, but it is if you stay that way. If you cannot exercise for some reason, or are even averse to exercise which some are, you have no excuse not to try out Jeff and Isabel's Diet Solution. It is based upon sound science and does not cost a fortune - less than a MacDonald's for the family in fact. Insulin, Sugar and Carbs What happens is that insulin takes you from a high level of blood sugar to a very low level, then you must eat more carbs and you are on a roller coaster of sugar and insulin. Isabel points out, quite correctly from a biochemical viewpoint, that even wholemeal bread, that most believe to be healthy, will generate sugar and can make you fat if you consume more sugars and carbs than your metabolism and exercise level needs. The same is true with wholemeal pastas and many other carbohydrate-based foods. However, carbs that come from rice, millet and quinoa, for example, will not be converted immediately to sugar, and can help you to burn off fat. Sweet potatoes are also very healthy in that respect, as is sprouted grain bread. Most reviews of The Diet Solution don't give enough importance to this point. Nevertheless, it is fruit and most vegetables that offer you the best form of carbohydrates, and you can also eat good fats and bad fats! Some fats increase your metabolic rate, and others will just add weight: hydrogenated oils, margarine, fake butter and so on are example of 'bad' fats. Good fats include real butter, olive oil, coconut oil and raw nuts. Foods to Avoid All reviews of The Diet Solution should take note of the fact that Isabel stresses that you should avoid foods that are processed - processed foods that contain lots of added chemicals. Your liver spends so much time dealing with these chemicals that it has not time to process your fats. Examples are artificial sweeteners, processed soy products and hydrogenated oils. Also, believe it or not, diet health bars and ready-made diet meals! These all undergo heavy processing - read the ingredients lists of what you eat! All these chemicals have to be processed by your internal chemical and detox plant - your liver - in addition to all the other work your liver has to do. Little wonder the more processed foods you eat, the more fats are allowed to get through and, after being converted to sugars, fill up your fat cells. Foods Not to Avoid So what can you eat? Steak, eggs, fish, sweet potatoes, butter (yes - it’s healthier than hydrogenated margarine), olive oil, fresh fruits and vegetables, and much more: can you make a decent meal from these ingredients? Jeff and Isabel cover the benefits and unhealthy aspects of various food groups in their introductory video to The Diet Solution. I won't go on much further with my reviews of The Diet Solution and how Isabel and Jeff explain it, but they do agree with me on calories. It's not the calories that are important, more getting rid of the junk foods. The stuff you KNOW is wrong to eat - fatty meats, fatty grease-filled burgers, Trans fats and too many cookies and donuts. To go further would be to give away their secrets. I will leave that to them. I will stress again that my reviews of The Diet Solution are not based upon personal use of it: I do not have to use it. I am 6 foot 1 inch tall and weigh 169 pounds. Were I 190 Lb I would be overweight, and 224 Lb I would be obese. At 169 pounds I am good for my height with very little fatty tissue (mostly in brain my wife tells me!). Watch the Video The introductory video offers lots of reasons for taking it, lots of good food and dietary ideas, plenty articles and videos and in my opinion, were I overweight or obese and I would certainly buy this product because a major problem many overweight people have in my experience is that they don't know what they should eat (or what they shouldn't) and don't know how much exercise they need. If you have questions, Jeff and Isabel will answer them. Isabel is the gal with the knowledge and Jeff is more suited to marketing: at least that's my impression. That's what I call a great team, although they are just good friends because Isabel is married with a young baby and they seem to know what they are talking about: they should do, because between them they are suitably qualified, unlike many others I have seen trying to sell products online that they know nothing about. Not many reviews of the Diet Solution focus on Isabel, who designed it, or Jeff, who I assume is responsible for its wonderfully effective marketing. For me, I am convinced that their dietary recommendations and other information they provide are more than worth the few dollar you will pay for it. But then again I don't have to use it, and my reviews of The Diet Solution are based on its theoretical concepts that I personally find impossible to refute. The science is sound!
